Digital Future (formerly Code Club Aotearoa)  is breaking new ground again! Rotary Oamaru was very proud to sponsor their last initiative, The Electric Garden - which paired digital technology and science with veggie growing to teach local primary school children computational thinking and digital device design as required by the incoming 2020 primary school curriculum.
Now... they're bringing She Can Code AND Ada.Ada.Ada to Waimate -and it's all happening Monday 20th May.

She Can Code

Waimate High School, School Hall, Paul Street, Waimate
Monday 20th May - 4-5.30pm
This workshop is specifically for girls and young women aged 8-18 years. It's one very cool afternoon exploring the world of tech and the very real opportunities it presents for our young women. The workshop will explore coding, robotics and computer science with incredible stories to excite and inspire. BYO device. FREE.


Waimate Regent Theatre, Shearman St, Waimate
Monday 20th May - 6-7.30pm
This is an incredible one-woman show with incredible tech. It tells the story of Ada Lovelace who wrote the first complex computer programme in the world... back in 1843! Coming all the way from the UK and touring NZ right now, this is a one-off performance not to be missed. Get a taster below.
