Membership Month

It's an exciting time for our club with a steady increase in our membership. This month is Membership Month so take this time to look at club goals and how to meet these. Plan for using the warmer Spring months to get out, be seen and encourage others to join you.

This Membership Month means it’s time to celebrate our club, our members, and the good we do in our community and around the world.

There are many ways to join in the celebration, but here are a few activities to get you started:

• Say it loud, say it proud! Let everyone in our social network know that you are a proud member by changing your Facebook, Instagram and Twitter profile to the I’m a Proud graphic - HERE. Save this graphic as your profile picture for August.

• Watch and share. Watch and share the Membership Message from Rotary President Barry Rassin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mmbv4K1z8ts&feature=youtu.be

• We Are Rotary. Using the hashtag #WeAreRotary, post photos to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram of our club members at work in our community to show how Rotary makes a positive impact.

• What does Rotary mean to you? Rotary members have pushed polio to the brink of eradication, delivered clean water to those in need, improved their local communities, provided scholarships to the next generation of peacemakers, and continued to do good in the world. Share what Rotary means to YOU!

Year 12/13 Interviews

Our 2018 Year 12 & 13 Interviews are fast approaching. Interviews this year will run on Tuesday 21st and Thursday 23rd August evenings.

At some stage in a students life they will be required to be involved in an interview situation. This may be for a scholarship, a job interview, for a rental property, a bank loan.

As part of The Rotary Club of Oamaru's commitment to the community we assist year 12 & 13 high school students develop life skills by running a mock interview situation.

To give students an opportunity to experience an interview situation.

Provide feedback in both a relaxed verbal manner and support it with written material.

It is time for you to to put your hand up to help out with the Year 12 & 13 Interviews, we need all the help we can get. Please let Project Leader: Blair Middlemass know if you can assist on one or both nights.
