Greetings, one and. Great Scot, it’s February already. I hope you had a good Waitangi Day and felt the aroha and shared the aroha. Good to have a year not dominated by news reports of angry antics, but sad to see Don Brash, our guest here last year, drowned out by megaphone. Oh well, we can’t all be  perfect beyond belief, I guess - Club members excluded, of course!!
But no-one’s excluded from our next meeting. It’s at the Galleon on Wednesday 13 February.
Tania at the Galleon has asked if she can have numbers by mid-day Monday for food ordering purposes so if you register over the weekend that would be great.
If you can’t ‘engage’ with Club Runner - and some members do find that a tad problematic - just flick me and email [] or give me a call [03 434 9410] and I’ll add you to the list.
We’ll have a 2 course meal for $18 in our own room (with  a bar) so $20 will cover your meal, one raffle ticket and a fine - if you incur one.
Thanks to everyone who came to our January meeting at Rod Tempero’s. It was a great night. Lovely atmosphere, a fascinating presentation from Rod and tasty tucker too!! A great way to start 2019.
Wednesday’s meeting will feature a presentation from Geoff Omnet about his visit to the Mecca  of speed record  breakers, the Bonneville Salt Flats. We’ll also have a quick briefing from Sven about a neat outdoor excursion’s he’s put together as a  fundraising experience, so it’ll be a great night. Looking forward to seeing you all - and feel free to bring a guest.
Go well - Jim Hopkins
